In July of 1999 Kearney Development Company, Inc. completed the site work and underground utilities for this 231-acre multi development. The Regional Mall is located at Sheldon Road and Gunn Highway in the Northwest corner of Hillsborough County. The project is classified as Commercial - Industrial and is approximately 1.1-million-square feet.
The mall is comprised of the following components:
• One level enclosed shopping mall with 451,433 square feet of small shop leasable area including a ten unit food court and 120 total tenant spaces.
• Five department stores including Burdines, Dillards, JC Penney and Sears.
The Owner's, Urban Retail Properties Company, 900 North Michigan Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60611, and Kearney Development Company, Inc. worked closely with the Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council to assure approval for the master development parameters and the timely completion of the $16.3 Million site development and underground utilities construction process.
