Kearney Construction considers the safety and well being of their employees to be of paramount importance.  We staff a highly experienced Safety Director assisted by two additional, full time field operational and experienced safety employees as well as a staff clerical administrative assistant.  This team works to maintain the most safety-conscious work environment possible through the implementation of effective programs that are prerequisites to and continuous throughout employment

Project Managers/Engineers: Multi-task individuals experienced in all phases of site development. Underground utilities, earthwork, concrete, asphalt and roadwork. Civil Engineer/building construction graduates or equivalent work background needed . Minimum 5 years field/site hands-on experience. Responsible for overall production management, scheduling, cost control , strong technical/engineering skills, aggressive negotiating ability with clients /engineers and extensive change order knowledge. Registered PE a plus but not required.

Estimators: Civil Engineer/Construction degree or equivalent. Experienced in estimating large site development and all phases of high production underground utilities including storm, water and sewer, and clearing, earthwork, roadwork, asphalt, concrete. Technical skills and computer literate. Minimum of eight years experience estimating for similar firm.

Site Superintendents/Assistant Site Superintendents: Highly energetic individuals capable of supervising multiple job sites with multiple employees. Minimum 5 years supervisory (300+ employees) field experience in all phases of site development and underground utilities. Earthwork, utilities, roadway, asphalt, and concrete. Must possess strong scheduling, planning, subcontractor, technical and leadership skills. Capable of communicating with clients, engineers, project managers, foremen and field employees. Ability to meet deadlines and knowledgeable in identifying and processing change orders.
Civil Engineering/P.E. a plus (not mandatory) ~ Immediate Need - Full Benefits Package

Earthwork Foremen/ Utility Foremen: Earthwork Foremen must be experienced in import/export of site materials and large-scale dirt work. Minimum of 5 years field supervision. Ability to motivate and instruct earthwork operators on scope of work and production. Excellent earthwork calculating skills and technical knowledge. Utility Foremen must be experienced in high production storm, water, sewer, under drain and all related structures. Minimum 5 years large-scale new install experience. Capable of managing 8-12 person crew. Extensive knowledge of as-built tracking.

Pipelayers/Leadmen/Tailmen: High production new install storm, water, sewer and all related structures. Familiar with laser, etc. Dependable transportation a must.

Skilled Laborers: All phases of site development. Must have reliable transportation and capable of working throughout the Tampa Bay area .

Heavy Equipment Operators: Earthwork/roadwork/utilities.Experienced in one or more of the following: Backhoes, dozers, loaders, pans, graders, boxblades, off-road dumps and rollers. Experienced in high production. All phases site development and underground utilities. Must have dependable transportation.

Survey/Engineering Division: Survey Cadd Technician needed for fast paced survey engineering operation. Autocad, COGO, Eagle Point, As-built and data collection experience a must. Strong at completing task. 3+ years of technical survey experience preferred.

Survey Crews: All positions. Party Chiefs, Rod/Instrument persons. Experienced in data collection for boundary, topographic and construction surveying. GPS experience a plus. Strong math background and good driving record required. Minimum 3+ years preferred.

Dump Trucks: Florida Trucking Co., Inc. is hiring drivers for new automatic tri-axle dump trucks and manual transmission tri-axle dump trucks, to deliver construction materials in the west central Florida area. A Florida class A or B CDL, with airbrake endorsement is required. A good MVR is also required. An excellent compensation package is offered including a competitive hourly rate with overtime and full benefits including health insurance and 401k. An application can be downloaded here.
